My Mission
As a teacher, I aim to create approachable and inviting spaces for students to build and deepen their understanding of movement. The environment I create in my classes welcomes all bodies, ages, forms, and all levels with the sole intent to support and respect individuals varying movement goals. Whether you are interested in dance movement as part of your general education, health and well-being, or if dance as a primary or secondary career, all are welcome to be challenged and move beyond their perceived goals and expectations.
As a teacher, I am committed to encourage my students to set higher standards for themselves through hard work, practice and patience. Freedom of expression in movement only comes through discipline, proper technique and form (and some fun!), which I hope to inspire my students to achieve. This has been my teaching philosophy for the past 20 years.
